Final Cut Pro Troubleshooting
When experiencing poor drive performance in Final Cut Pro, try the following:
1. Trash your preferences as a first effort. If that does not work, we suggest you check you user preferences and settings. In general FCP should be handing all of them.
2. Also, check your setting in Blackmagic Controls. Mismatched settings can cause problems.
3. Next, make sure that all your media and render files are on a the same high speed drive as my main media. Variations in drive speed for material within a projects can cause playback problems.
4. Finally, just to be certain, run Disk Utility on every drive in your system as well as your system drive to be sure their are no permissions issues taking place
